Western Redcedar (Thuja plicata) is native along streams and springs from Oregon to BC, Canada. A large, long-lived conifer, it is extremely important to Northwest Native cultures. Different parts of the tree are used for everything from roofs to baskets. Our Canopy Western Redcedar Essential Oil is naturally steam distilled from fresh redcedar needles harvested by family members from their own forests in NW Oregon. The aroma is clean, fresh and camphor-like.Â
